Color-By-Number Robot
2 Mar

This is a fun Color-By-Number drawing that we created this week. I had never thought of making my OWN color-by-number drawings until I saw my husband’s robot drawing laying on the table amidst the kids drawings. That’s when it came to me!
Color-By-Number drawings are a lot of fun and easily adaptable for any age level. Leave it blank for toddlers to enjoy coloring. Add numbers in the various sections for preschoolers who are learning to recognize their 1,2,3′s. Got a school aged child? Why not fill the sections with math equations {addition/subtraction, multiplication, etc}. It really can suit any need. Make a number-color key at the bottom of the page, then let your kids have some fun!
My Kids Make a Color-By-Number Robot, and yours can too! Find out how to make your OWN Color-By-Number Drawings:
I scanned the original drawing and printed out a few copies to work with. One copy {for Sydney) I left it as-is for her to simply color on.

One copy {for Silas} I wrote various numbers in the robot sections and then made a number-color key at the bottom.

The last version I made used addition problems. Silas had to figure out the answer to each equation to determine the color he was to use.

We had a lot of fun coloring our robots {yes, I even did one!}.
Next up: a space shuttle color-by-number!

great idea and one could make them more difficult or less depending on the age of the child. Thanks so very much for sharing on Craft Schooling Sunday, nice to “meet” you and hope to see you again soon!
