Jelly Bean Bracelet
14 Apr

What better accessory could there be than one that you can eat? A snack and a bracelet all in one! Its perfect.
My kids enjoyed making these with me, but this could also be a fun surprise for an Easter Basket {or even as party favors}!

My Kids Make a “Jelly Bean Bracelet” and yours can too. Grab a bag of jelly beans and get started!
Amy, over at Serving Pink Lemonade posted this cute idea.
When I saw her bracelets, I knew my kids would LOVE LOVE LOVE to try this project.

We used a regular needle and thread and simply “sewed” the jelly beans onto the thread.
Tie a large knot at one end of the string and then begin.
I will say that it is a bit hard to get the needle through the jelly beans, but it will go.

My kids decided what color jelly beans {and in which order}, and I did the actual “sewing” of the jelly beans.
Once we reached the desired size, I tied the bracelet together.

I think I might make one for myself next!

I love food-as-jewelry crafts – simple, yet functional.
Although it was a bit tricky to thread the jelly beans originally, I expect them to not fall off as easily as other candy jewelry (I’m looking at you, Twizzler/Froot Loops bracelet!).
Great idea!
Awesome idea!! We’ll definitely be doing this.
elastic would work good too
Yum, Yum, Yum…
How colorful !! Have made fruitloops bracelets and necklaces. Btw arent these hard? I tried once and broke a couple of needles, so couldnt finish it:( need to try again
Love it!!!
love, love, love it.
The best candy bracelet.
I remember how much you loved candy bracelets from Baily’s.
How soon did the kids eat the jelly beans off of their bracelets?
My daughter started jumping around the room singing “CANWEDOTHATMOM!!!???” over and over.
great project. featured this on my post today! http://quiverfullcreative.blogspot.com/2011/04/something-pretty-something-smart_15.html
So Cute! I’m your newest fan! I can’t wait to do this with my kids over December break (with red, white, and green jelly beans).
I microwaved the jelly beans a few seconds first to soften them up. That helped. Love the idea! I also added a ribbon on top of the knot. Turned out really cute and my girls loved them.
I used your idea! Thanks for sharing your creativity! I too posted about making them. You can read about it here if you’d like -> I had come across the pin for this wreath and repinned it on pinterest. I have since made the wreath myself and posted about it on my own blog.
