The Easter Egg Drawings
12 Apr
We received the book “The Easter Egg” by Jan Brett as a gift recently, and have been reading it…and reading it…and reading it, ever since.
It is a fun story about a bunny that wants to decorate the perfect Egg.
My kids love the story {and the illustrations}, and were inspired to decorate their own Easter Eggs.
My Kids Make “The Easter Egg Drawings”, and yours can too! Get out your markers……

I cut white paper in the shape of {large} Easter Eggs.
Then, we decorated them {yes, even I made some}…
with patterns, and lines, and dots, and colors.

Some resembled the Easter Eggs from the story, others didn’t.
All of them were really fun to create.
This book inspired another Egg Decorating project as well.
Hope you have fun decorating your own eggs this Easter,
be they real eggs, paper, cookie, candy, or……

Good drawings and colors on the eggs.
I’ll send you some photos of yellow, fluffy chicks.
They’re 1 week old …. chirping and hopping
Beautiful eggs kids!
I love this idea, easy way to get the little ones involved in decorating eggs, before its actually time to decorate the real ones

Great idea and beautiful results. Decorating actual eggs can be a really challenge due to the size, surface texture and shape. What a great way to get the kiddos designing and in the future moving their skills to real eggs.
That book looks wonderful and your eggs are brilliant!!
